I know I'm now enjoying myself in Yola, Nigeria, and that this second image is a little blurry, but I can't help but miss the feeling I had when I took these photos in Paris a few weeks ago. The sun shining on a snow covered day (Yola during the Harmattan does not equal cold and crisp), and then seeing this graffiti while taking an evening stroll to a Parisian restaurant (Yola does have good food and company, but it's still different) at the exact moment I was reminding myself that just because I live in a rural area doesn't mean I can't dress up... this was only one of many serendipitous happenings during my stay there. Yola is always full of surprises, so I'll get my head out of the clouds soon enough and provide photographic evidence to come of how wondrous this Nigerian world is...

I love the dress up picture!
I know Matt in Togo, Justine in Swaziland, and then Anna and Allie are both back in Kenya...we are all hooked!
I hope you are doing well. My boyfriend's step-dad spent some time in Yola a long time ago and enjoyed it.
now, i'll always think of that bridge as part of the set/location for Ratatouille...you know, where Linguini accidentally drops Emil and the bottle in the river...
if you haven't watched the film yet, I'm making you :)
