This weekend I went to an all female post-wedding party that I was invited to by a friend who, after 25 years of blissful marriage to his only wife, is taking on a second so that she can watch over his eight children while the first wife goes to school to get her teaching certificate. I was one of only two women at the party who had a camera, so I played unprofessional photographer nearly the whole time, which was great fun. When a beautifully hennaed mom/guest requested that I take a photo of her sleeping baby I couldn't help but wish I was still small enough to fit in the cradle of my mother's arms again and fall into deep sleep while everyone kept to the busy party rhythm around me...
